Stora Enso has selected the executive management team for a new forest asset company that it plans to demerge from Stora Enso, and expects to complete the demerger in the first half of 2027, company announced.
Tuomas Hallenberg serves as President and CEO of the new company and assumed the role in January 2026. He previously served as Executive Vice President of Stora Enso’s Forest Business Area since 2024 and has held senior executive roles at Metsähallitus and UPM.
Martin Ros will serve as CFO. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Finance, in Stora Enso’s Biomaterials Business Area.
Johan Djurberg will serve as Head of Forestry and is currently Vice President, Wood Supply, at Billerud. He previously held senior roles at Stora Enso in wood supply, forestry operations, and supply chain functions, and is set to join the new company no later than June 2026.
Pontus Selderman will serve as General Counsel and is currently Senior Vice President, Forest Legal and ESG Regulatory, at Stora Enso. His legal work has included business law, ethics and compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory matters.
