The Swiss Krono Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Collins Pine Company’s particleboard and engineered wood siding manufacturing facilities located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Swiss Krono in North America, complementing its existing operations in Barnwell, South Carolina, and building its presence in the Western United States.
The decision by Collins to divest the Klamath Falls facilities supports the company’s strategic focus on its core business of timberlands management and softwood and hardwood lumber manufacturing.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Financial terms of the deal will not be disclosed. Other Collins business units are not affected by this transaction.
Swiss Krono Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wood-based materials.
Collins Pine Company, founded in 1855, is family-owned with over 370,000 acres of FSC certified land in California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. Collins’ portfolio of products includes softwood lumber, hardwood lumber, NAF particleboard, and engineered wood siding and trim.
