Dec 03, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. The Multi Packaging Solutions is expanding its machinery at the Düren site. New investments enable increase of capacity by up to 60% with a new model Speedmaster XL 106 printing machine from Heidelberg and a model 106 CSB punching machine from Dymatrix, the site is expected to achieve up to 60% greater production capacity in the next few years. Both machines are used in production and complex processing of cardboard packaging for particular foods and confectionery, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

The total investment of around Euro 5 million has enabled an increase of annual capacity from 50 million to 80 million prints. This is due to higher speeds, shorter setup times, improved sheet utilization and reduced washing times for ink rollers and cylinders of the XL 106. 150 staff are employed in Düren.

"We meet our customer's desires for more smaller print-runs for certain, seasonal events with the new “in-press control technology. This allows setup processes to be automated and shortened", says MPS Managing Director of Operations Joachim Hoeltz.
