Jun 23, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. The Board of Directors appointed Donald A. DeVisser as Acting Executive Vice President of the West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau (WCLIB). The appointment is effective July 1, 2010, WCLIB said in a statement received by Lesprom Network.
DeVisser replaces long time Executive Vice President, Brad Shelley, who is retiring after 33 distinguished years serving WCLIB.
DeVisser has served as the Director of Technical Services for WCLIB since 1991 and represents WCLIB on several industry technical committees. Since 1992, he’s been an active member of ASTM International working on several committees, including the Committee on Wood and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Forests.
The West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau is an Oregon non-profit service corporation which exists for the benefit and protection of buyers, sellers, and consumers of softwood lumber. A primary objective of the WCLIB is the development and maintenance of uniform lumber standards.
