The Swedish sawmill and wood processing company NK Lundströms Trävaror has signed an agreement with Tieto to upgrade its IT environment and adopt TIFF (Tieto Integrated Fibre Flow). The powerful cloud service brings speed and agility to NK Lundström’s operations in the county of Västerbotten, in northern Sweden, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The TIFF system is provided to the customer on-demand (SaaS, software as a service) and introduces new business intelligence tools that improve interactions with forest owners and timber suppliers. Productivity-boosting benefits include traceable logistics, greater mobility, consolidation of stocks, real-time communication and automated work processes.
The modernisation will be felt across the value chain at NK Lundströms, simplifying everything from purchasing, contracting and felling to customer delivery.
