UFP Industries, through its affiliate UFP Packaging, has acquired the assets of C&L Wood Products, Inc., a pallet and mulch manufacturer based in Hartselle, Alabama, with trailing 12-month sales of $24.8 million as of November 2024. C&L will now operate as part of UFP Packaging's PalletOne business unit, a leading U.S. manufacturer of machine-built pallets.

C&L’s President Henry Bowman and Operations Manager Frank Janek will remain in leadership roles following the acquisition. The move expands PalletOne's production capacity in northern Alabama and central Tennessee, providing access to high-volume pallet production in the region.

C&L, founded in 1975, was acquired by Henry and Blythe Bowman in 1996 when it had 10 employees and less than $1 million in revenue. The company has since expanded significantly under Bowman’s leadership, growing to approximately 115 employees and serving customers within a 150-mile radius.
