UPM will discontinue label materials production at its Nancy facility in France. The site will remain operational as a slitting and distribution terminal providing service and short lead times to UPM Adhesive Materials customers, according to UPM.

The consultation process with employee representatives concluded on November 12, 2025, under French legislation and received approval from French authorities on November 28, 2025.

The decision affects 79 employees. UPM will provide support measures to help ease the impact of the staff reductions.

UPM states that the restructuring supports the growth of its adhesive materials business by improving profitability and maximizing synergies through production centralization at more cost-competitive factories. The company expects higher cost efficiency and product quality as a result.
