USNR appoints Chuck Van Horn as Vice President – Capital Projects. He will continue to be responsible for overseeing USNR’s capital machinery projects, but now as a Vice President. This promotion recognizes the critical role Chuck plays within USNR’s management organization, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
In 1990 Chuck joined the Hemco business, which was later acquired by USNR. Starting as a service technician based in Hot Springs, Chuck has progressed through jobs in electrical design and PLC programming, then later held several management roles in which he was responsible for overseeing service, electrical engineering, and controls engineering departments.
Since 2015, Chuck has served as USNR’s Director of Capital Projects.
USNR operates four large manufacturing plants in the United States, Canada, and Sweden, in addition to more than a dozen regional engineering, service, and sales offices in North America and across Europe. USNR is best known around the world for providing endto-end solutions for sawmills and planer mills, including log lines, curve sawing gangs, edger lines, trim-sort-stack systems, dry kilns, and the optimization and control technologies that maximize the output and performance of that equipment.
