US LBM, a distributor of specialty building materials, has acquired Nix Door and Hardware, strengthening its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Nix Door and Hardware specializes in providing custom building products and installation services to residential and commercial builders, remodelers, and homeowners.
Nix offers distribution, sales, and installation of windows, doors, and fireplaces. It also supplies faux stone veneer products and provides security and automation systems for homeowners. As a result of the acquisition, Nix will operate as part of US LBM's Texas Building Supply division, which serves contractors in major Texas markets including Austin, Houston and San Antonio.
This acquisition enhances Texas Building Supply’s offerings, which already include lumber, engineered wood products, roofing, and structural components. It also expands the company's design and installation services for custom millwork, stairs, and exterior doors.
