In April 2019, U.S. log exports declined 50.0% y-o-y to 600.2 thousand m3 with export value decreased 41.3% to $151.1 million, according to USDA data. Average price for logs supplied from U.S. jumped 17.2% to $252 per m3.

U.S. log exports to China fell 52.0% y-o-y to 370.6 thousand m3, export value dropped 46.9% to $87.5 million. Average price for logs supplied to China expanded 10.6% to $236 per m3.

Log exports to Canada declined 52.6% to 87.6 thousand m3, export value was down 2.88% to $20.6 million. Average price soared 104.7 to $235 per m3.

Log exports from U.S. to Japan fell 60.6% to 58.1 thousand m3 with export value decreased 62.3% to $14.4 million. Average price for logs supplied to Japan dropped 4.38% to $247 per m3.
