U.S. Kimberly-Clark launches Kotex pads in Turkey
Jan 11, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. U.S health- and hygiene-product maker Kimberly-Clark introduced its feminine care hygienic pads brand Kotex in Turkey. The company plans to employ 1 000 people, and invest $120 million, generating revenue of $200 million by 2010, sales director Teoman Kazan said. Kimberly-Clark aims at gaining a 20% share of the local market, which currently is estimated at $1.5 billion, and is seen to grow two-fold in three years.
Kimberly-Clark products are sold in 150 countries with production plants in 37 countries. Its products include diapers, consumer tissue and related household goods under the Kotex, Kleenex, Scott, Viva, Andrex, Cottonelle, Huggies brands.
