Cabinet manufacturers reported overall cabinet sales of were down 7.6% for May 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA).
The total sales reported by respondents for May 2025 amounted to $207.5 million. Custom sales accounted for $56.0 million, reflecting 7.2% year-on-year decrease.
Semi-custom sales saw a decrease of 4.9%, amounting to $118.0 million, and stock sales down 16.3%, reaching $33.5 million.
The year-to-date sales for survey participants also decreased by 6.3% to $982.7 million in May 2025. Custom sales contributed $262.8 million, or 5.4% decline; semi-custom sales reached $562.9 million, down 2.8%, and stock sales amounted to $157.0 million, or 18.1% drop.
The estimated sales for the overall market in May were reported at $2.05 billion. For the year-to-date period, the overall market estimated sales were $9.77 billion.
