Uniboard has successfully started production on its new particleboard line at the Val-d'Or facility, a project representing a total investment of over $350 million. The new continuous press line increases the plant's annual production capacity to 272 million square feet, making Uniboard the largest particleboard producer in Canada and the key regions of the northeastern and midwestern United States.

The modernization, completed in three phases, includes a fully automated press and finishing line that utilizes artificial intelligence for process optimization. The project also added over 300,000 square feet of warehouse space, enhancing the site's capability to serve as a one-stop-shop for raw and laminated particleboard and MDF.
