Unilin Technologies, the intellectual property division of Unilin, has partnered with Dieffenbacher to further commercialize its patented fiberboard recycling technology, Osiris. This collaboration aims to enhance sustainability within the fiberboard industry by enabling the complete recycling of materials like MDF, HDF, THDF, and wood fiber insulation boards, including post-consumer waste.

The Osiris technology, already validated at Unilin's Bazeilles plant through the Osiris 1.0 pilot since 2022, uses a steam explosion process to recover high-quality fibers from waste fiberboards. This advancement supports a circular economy while offering a cost-effective solution for wood fiber supplies and providing a strong return on investment. Dieffenbacher will be the preferred supplier of machinery for this technology, integrating it into global fiberboard production processes.

Bart Van der Stockt, President of Unilin Technologies, stated, "Partnering with Dieffenbacher enables us to significantly extend Osiris's environmental and cost-saving benefits throughout the industry." The companies aim to make recycling technologies more accessible, setting new standards for sustainable fiberboard production globally.
