Jul 17, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. VKR Holding divested its Canadian subsidiary Loewen – manufacturer of
high quality windows and doors for the architectural segment in North America – to a group of investors including part of
the Loewen family and the management in Loewen, as the company said in the
press release received by Lesprom Network.
The transaction follows a strategic review of VKR Holding’s worldwide
portfolio of businesses. “We did not see sufficient synergies with our other
investments within vertical windows and doors and are satisfied with the
solution found with the new owners,” Jan Lundsgaard Jensen, CEO of VKR Holding,
comments.
VKR Holding will maintain its presence in the North American window
market through its investment in the VELUX Group (roof windows and skylights).
VKR Holding is a holding and investment company which owns companies
within four business areas.
