The WEPA Group intends to acquire a majority stake in French away-from-home hygiene paper and soap manufacturer MPH1865. The planned acquisition is designed to strengthen WEPA's presence in the French market and broaden its European footprint in the professional hygiene sector. The transaction's completion is pending regulatory approvals, including merger control clearance, according to WEPA Group.
The partnership will maintain MPH1865's entire industrial network and workforce, with current President Marc Miribel continuing to lead the business.
WEPA, one of Europe's three largest hygiene paper manufacturers, operates 14 sites across the continent and employs approximately 4,300 people.
