The next World BioEconomy Roundtable will take place on 14 June, 2022 starting at 15:00 CET. This World BioEconomy Roundtable on the theme of "Corporate Leaders and the Financial World" will focus on forest industry leaders, and discuss the topic, “What role does the forest industry play in climate change mitigation?”
The event will include short introduction presentations followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A, moderated by Teresa Presas, Senior Advisor to the World BioEconomy Forum.
There will be a prestigious and highly notable set of panellists including:
- David Brand, Chair and CEO of New Forests
- Derek Nighbour, President and CEO at FPAC
- Ilkka Hämälä, President & CEO of Metsä Group
- Walter Schalka, CEO of Suzano
The Roundtable will be hosted by Mark Rushton and Jukka Kantola and is co-organised and held in cooperation with Cepi, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), The Paper Manufacturers Association of South Africa (PAMSA) and The Brazilian Tree Industry (Ibá).
The World BioEconomy Forum is a global platform for circular bioeconomy stakeholders to share ideas and promote bio-based solutions.
