World pulp stores increased 10% in July 2004: AF&PA
. World pulp stores increased 344 thousand tons, or 10%, to 3.794 million tons in July 2004, according to the preliminary data announced by the American Forest & Paper Association. The stores registered in July 2004 will be sufficient to provide steady supplies throughout 38 days. Avreage world pulp stores reported in July annually increased 196 thousand tons during the recent years.

World pulp stores increased 344 thousand tons, or 10%, to 3.794 million tons in July 2004, according to the preliminary data announced by the American Forest & Paper Association. The stores registered in July 2004 will be sufficient to provide steady supplies throughout 38 days. Avreage world pulp stores reported in July annually increased 196 thousand tons during the recent years.
Commodity pulp production was 3.247 milliontons, up 5.8% compared with June 2004 (3.069 million tons). Pulp enterprises' production capacities loading increased from 95% to 98%, supplies dropped 4.2% to 3.03 million tons in June to 2.902 million tons in July 2004.
The data announced by American Forest & Paper Association contain the information from Austria, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Swaziland, the US, Finland, France, Chile, Sweden, South Africe, South Korea and Japan making 85% of world's production capacties.
