Jun 09, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. The von Drehle Corporation plans to make major paper mill improvements at its tissue-making operations in Natchez, Mississippi, and Cordova, North Carolina. The Natchez paper mill will get a new Advantage NTT tissue machine from Valmet (formerly Metso), and the Cordova mill will see a new Yankee dryer, as PaperAge reported.

The Advantage NTT concept is designed for maximum flexibility and can easily swing between cost-efficient production of conventional tissue and high quality textured tissue.

“NTT technology provides von Drehle with premium away-from-home products using recycled or virgin fibers. These premium products will complement von Drehle's current brand offering and provide sales potential into new market channels for our customers,” the company said in a press statement.

von Drehle expects the new machine to be fully operational in the 4Q 2015.

Founded in 1974, the von Drehle Corporation is a privately held company headquartered in Hickory, North Carolina. The company manufactures tissue, towel, and dispenser products for the away-from-home market.
