As many as 28,000 people, including 8,000 foreigners, visited the 2005 Ho Chi Minh City International Wood and Handicraft Fair (Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2005), which was held in the city from October 3-7. The fair saw the signing of more than 300 transaction deals worth $25 million. Twelve of them are business contracts worth $12 million in total. Many Vietnamese enterprises signed valuable contracts and memorandums of understanding including the Truong Thanh Wood and Fine Arts Co., the My Tai Co. Ltd in southern Binh Dinh province and the Trung Nghia Co.
