May 04, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Andre Bernier will begin his job next week as the new General Manager at AbitibiBowater‘s Fort Frances mill in Ontario, as ForestTalk reported. Bernier will bring more than 30 years of experience working in the pulp and paper industry to the position. Bernier has held various management positions in kraft pulp mills with different companies. Most recently, he was the general manager for Catalyst Paper at their Crofton pulp and paper mill in British Columbia. AbitibiBowater anticipates that Bernier’s “leadership and experience will help the Fort Frances mill to meet its business objectives”. Derrick Lindgren, who has been the general manager in Fort Frances since last April, will be moving to Washington state to become general manager of AbitibiBowater’s Ponderay operation in Usk.
