Sep 14, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. In the first quarter of the year, Albiot company launched its first pellet plant in Pavlovskaya community of Krasnodar region, as Lesprom Network informed earlier. Now the company plans to launch a biofuel plant in Vologda region in the fourth quarter of 2009, as deputy director general of the company Valeriy Bledhnykh reported Lesprom Network. The plant will comprise two lines producing 5 tons of pellets per hour, annual production volume will exceed 80,000 tons. The company has also purchased a site in Ust-Donetskiy municipality of Rostov region for another biofuel plant, preliminary works have already been held there. Moreover, Albiot plans to sign a biofuel plant construction contract with Volgograd region authorities at the Sochi Forum and a contract with Krasnodar region administration entailing construction of several plants. At the moment, the company sells its products to export markets only, but as Mr. Blednykh reported, the company intends to explore the domestic market too. The pilot project is already launched: a pellet-based boiler house is built for the local school needs. The boiler house is located nearby the old one which uses coal. “We wish to show that there is an alternative which is more economical. Biofuels are cheaper and more environmentally-friendly than black oil, coal, and heating oil”, Valeriy Blednykh said. Among other company’s innovations are use of agricultural waste in production of pellets and generating fertilizers from wood bark which is presently used as an addition to biofuel pellets.
