MMK made no forecast for 2006 due to volatile macroeconomic developments. MMK management plans to propose a 2005 dividend of Euro 2.6 ($3.11) per share compared to Euro 2.4 ($2.87) per share for 2004 as well as an additional anniversary bonus marking 10 years on the Vienna Stock Exchange (VSE) of 1.5 euro ($1.8) per share. MMK does not expect higher demand in the cardboard and packaging sector. The higher energy costs will be compensated with higher prices of the end products. The company is looking for acquisitions in the cardboard production and processing sectors.
