Apr 04, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Austrian company Mondi to acquire shares in the joint Ukrainian-Hungarian company Dunapack-Ukraina, which was established about ten years ago on the base of one of the production units at Zhidachev Pulp and Paper Mill, Ukrinform informed.
Dunapack-Ukraina specializes in the production of sack kraft. Dunapack-Ukraina is a subsidiary of the Hungarian company Dunapack. Its products are used to pack loose substances, as well as for packaging requiring corrugated paper. Overall, the annual production volume, of which 30% goes as export to Hungary, Moldova, Belarus and Russia is approximately 30 million UAH ($ 6million).
Experts link this sale to the fact that Dunapack is currently constructing two new packing product plants, one in the Hungarian town of Dunaujvaros and in Ukraine’s Tsiurupynsk in the Kherson region. The second project will cost 34 million Euro. And here, in addition to corrugated cardboard material, dry mix construction products will also be produced. According to the plan, the first products will come off the production line in early 2009.
