"It is effective today," B. Hariharan, group director-finance, said over the telephone. Hariharan also said the firm had raised prices of some varieties of uncoated paper by about 700 rupees ($17,5)a tonne. Ballarpur Industries Ltd. is a leader in the Indian paper market.
