In 3Q 2016, Bio Pappel's sales increased 11%, from $4,875 ($240 million) to $5,412 million pesos ($267 million), due to a growth in shipments of 8%, reaching 423 thousand tons compared to 390 thousand tons in the same quarter of the year before.
Sales for the 9 months of 2016 increased 33% compared with the same period in 2015, due to shipments increased 20% and unit sales price increased 11%.
Bio Pappel obtained a new EBITDA record for $1,037 million pesos ($51 million) in this quarter, which represents a 43% increase compared to $723 million pesos ($35.7 million) generated during the same period in 2015.
In the three quarters of 2016, an EBITDA of $2,865 million pesos ($141 million) was obtained, representing a 53% increase when compared to the results of the same period of 2015, which were $1,868 million pesos ($92 million).
This quarter the company reached a record EBITDA margin of 19.2%, much higher than the 14.8% that was obtained in the 3Q 2015.
Bio Pappel is the integrated producer of containerboard, uncoated free sheet, newsprint, corrugated boxes, cut paper, notebooks, paper sacks and other paper specialties.
