Brynolf Alexandersson appointed president of Holmen Energi

May 16, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Brynolf Alexandersson has been appointed president of Holmen Energi AB. He is currently president of Umeå Energi Elnät AB and will take up his new position in August 2007.
The Holmen Group’s Holmen Energi business area has responsibility for energy-related aspects of the group’s business, in particular the procurement of electricity for Holmen’s mills. In Sweden around one-third of these requirements are sourced from around 20 wholly and partly owned hydro power stations, for which Holmen Energi has operative responsibility. In a normal year production at these power stations amounts to approximately 1.1 TWh.
Holmen Energi’s annual turnover amounts to some SEK 1.5 billion ($221.4 million). The company has around 10 employees.
Brynolf Alexandersson will succeed Sven Wird, who is head of Group Technology within Holmen and acting president of Holmen Energi.
Holmen is a forest products industry group with an annual production capacity of about 2.7 million tonnes of paper and paperboard. The predominant market is Europe, and the group has an annual turnover of about SEK 19 billion. It employs some 5 000 persons. The Holmen share is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange Large Cap.
