Feb 04, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. Canadian lumber production in November slipped 5% from October, to 1.9 billion board feet, but held 14% above the November 2009 level, as Random Lengths reported. Production through 11 months reached 20.4 billion board feet, 9% ahead of the 2009 pace. With a 2% increase, to 440 million board feet, Quebec was the only province to gain from October. Quebec's year-to-date gain of 15%, to 4.3 bbf, was largest of all but one other province. Nova Scotia gained 50%, but to 343 million board feet, less than any province except Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
