Canfor Corporation (TSX: CFP) announced that it is permanently closing its Panel & Fibre mill effective January 8th, 2008, after fibre inventories have been utilized and mill equipment decommissioned. The mill, located in New Westminster, B.C., employs 126 people and manufactures specialty products including hardboard panels, erosion control wood mulch and baled fibre.
