Chile forestry and paper company CMPC suffered $170 million in losses from both damage and lost production due a massive February 27 earthquake, as Reuters agency informed Lesprom Network. CMPC said that 40% of the $170 million loss was due to damage to installations and lost output accounted for the balance. But the company said it had insurance against earthquakes and tsunamis, which would help cover the losses.
