Jun 29, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. The Mestre sawmill situated right outside Constitución, Chile, has earlier
ordered a new Catech 400 TS-4 edger optimizer from Söderhamn Eriksson. Even
before taking this new line into operation, Mestre has decided to now also
upgrade its saw line with a 3D-scanner and optimization as well new log and
cant infeeders, as Söderhamn Eriksson said in the press release received by
Lesprom Network.
These investments are intended to increase sawing yield, which also
means that sawmill will need less manpower while increasing its capacity.
Today Mestre produces some 60,000 cubic metres lumber a year.
