China's pulp imports in January-April down 9.2% on year

May 10, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. China's pulp imports in the first fourth months of the year fell 9.2% from a year earlier to 3.9 million metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said, as Dow Jones informed Lesprom Network.
In April, China imported 980,000 tons of pulp, 10,000 cubic meters of plywood and 340,000 tons of paper and paper board.
Total plywood imports in the January-April period fell 5.2% on year to 40,000 cubic meters.
Paper and paper board imports totaled 1.17 million tons, up 28% on year.
