Croatian Exportdrvo Group, trading in timber and timber products, narrowed its net profit to 1.18 million Croatian kuna ($194,000) in the first half of 2005 from 6,54 million kuna ($1.08 million) a year ago, the company said in a statement to the Zagreb Stock Exchange. The company decreased its revenue by 20.1% to 67.01 million kuna ($11.04 million), while costs fell by 15.04% to 65.82 million kuna ($10.84 million) from 77.51 million kuna ($12.77 million). Sales abroad stood at 13.16 million kuna ($2.17 million), a 2.0% increase, whereas domestic sales went down by 17% to 44.23 million kuna ($7.29 million). Financial revenue fell by 22% and other revenue stood at 6.17 million kuna ($1.01 million). Exportdrvo, located in the capital Zagreb, was established in 1948 and employs over 300. The company exports to Italy, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Egypt and other countries.
