EACOM Timber Corporation has successfully completed the installation of a continuous dry kiln at its Timmins sawmill in Ontario, Canada, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
This new system is designed to accelerate the wood drying process by continuously cycling lumber through the kiln with significant energy efficiency gains. The annual capacity of the sawmill will increase to 160 million board feet because of this technological upgrade.
