Ellen Cathrine Rasmussen new head of Xynergo AS
Sep 11, 2009. Ellen Cathrine Rasmussen has been appointed new Managing Director of Xynergo AS, the Norwegian company, owned by Norske Skog and a hand-ful of other forest companies, with the objective to establish wood based bio-diesel production.
Sep 11, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Ellen Cathrine Rasmussen has been hired as the new managing director of Xynergo AS, the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
Xynergo was established in 2008 and shares locations with Norske Skog Follum at Ringerike in Norway. The company's objective is to establish full-scale production of bio-diesel and bio-oil based on wood.
Ellen Cathrine Rasmussen comes from Hydro where she has held several key operative and strategic executive positions in Hydro Aluminium and Hydro Polymers. Rasmussen has broad experience from the energy markets including both the both buyer and seller roles, as well as extensive international experience.

Gjermund Røkke is the acting managing director of Xynergo, and he will continue in this role until Ellen Cathrine Rasmussen takes up her post on 16 November.
Xynergo is owned by Norske Skog (71%), Viken Skog (12%), Allskog (8%), Statskog (5%) and Mjøsen Skog (4%).
