Finnforest Romania conducts investment of 22m euro into plant up-grading

Finnforest Romania has recently finalised the up-grading of its Baco Production Comanesti wood panelling factory, on an investment of 8m euro, bringing its investments into the factory up to 22m euro. The factory at Comanesti, Bacau Coutny, is the largest wood panelling company in Europe, being equipped with eight production lines for panel core and five panel flattening lines. Two new production lines are expected to become operational this year.

The factory at Comanesti, Bacau Coutny, is the largest wood panelling company in Europe, being equipped with eight production lines for panel core and five panel flattening lines.
Two new production lines are expected to become operational this year. Finnforest Baco Production has two production halls, a storage house for finished products and is currently working on rebuilding a timber plant. The company is the main employer in the Bacau County, employing a staff of 550. The panels made at Comanesti are coated in decorative veneer of oak, cherry tree and maple among other wood types. The output of the company is bound for export, mainly to Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Israel, the Philippines.
