Jul 11, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. On Sunday, MDAX-listed Pfleiderer Aktiengesellschaft started production of raw particleboard in its new plant in Novgorod, Russia, earlier than expected. Following the successful start of surface coating in February 2006, the complete production at the plant, constructed over the last 18 months, has now started. "With the start-up of particleboard production in Russia, we gain access to a further major growth market in Eastern Europe and operate as of today the most modern, state-of-the-art particleboard production and coating plant on the Russian market", explained Hans H. Overdiek, CEO of Pfleiderer Aktiengesellschaft. "In view of its growth potential, we see this market as highly profitable and intend to continue expanding here over the coming years", Mr. Overdiek went on to state.
