Dec 01, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. The US-based pulp and paper company Georgia-Pacific Corporation is reportedly cutting some 130 jobs in Finland, according to Nordic Business Report. Personnel negotiations has been launched at the Nokia and Ikaalinen units, concerning 430 people, reported the Finnish news agency STT. Georgia-Pacific is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and is one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building products and related chemicals. It has over 55 000 employees at 300 facilities in the United States, Canada and 11 other countries. Georgia-Pacific is owned by Koch Industries Inc, the largest privately owned company in the world by revenue.
