Holzindustrie Schweighofer starts operations at its sawmill in Reci, Romania
Holzindustrie Schweighofer has started the operation at its newest sawmill in Reci, Covasna County, Romania, after receiving all the permits required to function. With an area of around 70 hectares and a cutting capacity of 800,000 cubic meters of round wood per year, sourced from sustainably managed forests, the new factory will represent a Euro 150 million investment.

Aug 21, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Holzindustrie Schweighofer has started the operation at its newest sawmill in Reci, Covasna County, Romania, after receiving all the permits required to function, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
With an area of around 70 hectares and a cutting capacity of 800,000 cubic meters of round wood per year, sourced from sustainably managed forests, the new factory will represent a Euro 150 million investment.
Sawmill in Reci will employ around 650 workers at full capacity, with capabilities to train and qualify employees on-site. Moreover, the company expects this new sawmill to create other 2,000 jobs in related industries, based on its experience from the other factories.
