India Ballarpur Indus may up uncoated paper price in January

Nov 10, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Ballarpur Industries Ltd., India's largest paper company by capacity, may raise the price of uncoated paper in January, a senior company executive said Wednesday.
"Prices are firm. There could be a possibility of increasing prices in January," R. Vederah, joint managing director at Ballarpur told reporters. He didn't give details of the possible price hike.
Ballarpur last increased its uncoated paper price by around 2% a metric tonne to INR 35 000 ($765) on October 1.
Uncoated paper comprises around 65% of Ballarpur's paper output. The company has a capacity to produce 450 000 tonnes of paper a year.
