will be signed on September 30, ITTO reports.
In a statement the Forestry Ministry’ Director of Forest Products
Management and Marketing said the government expects the EU to demonstrate its
commitment to promoting trade in legal timber by sticking to the timeframe
agreed.
The EU had proposed several dates for the agreement signing as the
schedule of the Lithuanian environment minister, who holds the EU presidency,
and EU Environment Commissioner had to be coordinated.
