Dec 20, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Publicly listed industrial paper producer PT Fajar Surya (JSX:FASW) has predicted net loss this year because of foreign exchange loss.
The company, which has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons, is estimated to have only a slight increase in sales to Rp1.5 trillion ($150 million) this year from Rp1.43 trillion in 2004.
Director Hadi Rebowo Ongkowidjojo said the increase in sales value was due to a 6% increase in price this year.
An increase in operating cost as a result of the fuel price-hikes in October, 2005 will likely result in a net loss, Hadi said.
