On September 14 2006 International Paper and Austrian Europapier announced the expansion of their long-term co-operation in Russian market, International Paper declared. As of October 2006 Europapier CIS (Moscow, Russian division of Europapier) will become direct distributor of International Paper office paper brands Svetocopy and Ballet. Two companies have experience of successful partnership commenced in late 1990s in Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic. International Paper is one of the leading companies on Russian market of office paper since 1990. “Russia is an important market for us, and the partnership with Europapier will contribute to further strengthening of our presence there”, International Paper sales and marketing director in Northern Europe and Russia Torsten Lohmar said. “Our partnership with Europapier in Central and Eastern Europe has always been productive, and we aspire this positive experience to be introduced in Russia”, he added.
