Aug 17, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. Holding company Investlesprom has acquired Medvezhjegorsky LPH (Karelia), holding reported. The deal was completed on August 17, 2007, the value is not disclosed. In next two years Investlesprom intends to invest more than RUR 600 million in modernization of the timber mill, purchase of harvesting technique and transport and restructuring of enterprises credits. Medvezhjegorsky LPH is engaged in logging and sawmilling. At present the enterprise harvests only 80% of periodic yield or 200 000 cubic meters of wood. The sawmill produces up to 100 000 cubic meters of sawnwood per annum. Les division of Investlesprom includes LDK Seguezhsky and OAO Karelia DSP in Karelia. With the purchase of Medvezhjegorsky LPH raw material base of Investlesprom in Karelia will rise to 700 000 cubic meters per annum.
