The Valspar Corporation, a leading global coatings company, announced on September 19 that Joseph Donahue has joined the corporation as group vice president - global wood coatings and will be responsible for the leadership of the corporation's wood coatings businesses in North America, Asia and Europe.
Prior to joining Valspar, Mr. Donahue's career has been with AMP/Tyco Electronics in various engineering and general management roles in North America, Japan and China, most recently vice president global automotive division, Americas region and vice president global automation tooling division, Americas region. Mr. Donahue has his undergraduate degree from University of Lowell and MS degree from Lehigh University.
With fiscal 2005 sales of $2.7 billion, Valspar is a global leader in the paint and coatings industry, with a broad range of products including industrial, architectural, packaging, automotive refinish and floor coatings and specialty polymers and colorants.
Valspar shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
