KBR, Inc. has been awarded a contract for maintenance, planning and industrial services by International Paper (IP), a global producer of renewable packaging and paper products. The contract will be performed over the next four years, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Under the new contract, KBR will provide industrial maintenance services of around 700,000 labor hours at IP's offices in Svetogorsk, Russia.

"KBR was awarded this contract based on its successful track record for reliable excellence in delivery over the past ten years for IP," said Jay Ibrahim, President of Europe, Middle East & Africa. "KBR has consistently provided high quality work on a full range of total maintenance services, increasing production and reliability of the Svetogorsk mill."

Revenue associated with this contract is estimated to be over $40 million and will be booked into backlog of unfulfilled orders for KBR's E&C Business Segment in 1Q 2017.
