Klenk Holz nearly doubles annual profit to Euro 13.2 million
Apr 08, 2011. German sawmilling giant Klenk Holz almost doubled its profits to Euro 13.2 million in 2010. Group sales totalled Euro 363 million, compared to Euro 302 million in 2009. The company also said the 1Q sales were about 30% ahead of a year ago.
Apr 08, 2011. /Lesprom Network/. German sawmilling giant Klenk Holz almost doubled its profits to Euro 13.2 million in 2010. Group sales totalled Euro 363 million, compared to Euro 302 million in 2009. The company also said the 1Q sales were about 30% ahead of a year ago, as TTJ reported.
“The economic outlook is generally positive and we expect a signficant increase in sales for the remainder of the year,” said Klenk
It said roundwood price escalation would be a challenge in the next few months.
Total production output in 2010 was up 7.5% to 2.1 million cubic metres, but the sharp increase in raw material prices impacted the gross profit margin.
