VLADIMIR. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Krono Holding AG of Switzerland plans in the first quarter of 2002 to buy 75% of the Kostroma timber processing company Sharyadrev, Alexander Kopaykov, head of the Kostroma regional foreign economic relations department told Interfax. The period of outside management at Sharyadrev has ended, he said. Kostroma regional arbitration court is considering a petition from creditors to put the company into receivership. Sharyadrev has debts before budgets, Kostromaenergo and the federal treasury of over 150 million rubles. Following the court ruling, a final agreement will be reached on the controlling stake being sold to Krono Holding and the formation of a joint Russian-Swiss venture called Kronoshar, to produce laminated particle board for furniture. The joint venture will be formed within the framework of an agreement signed by Krono Holding AG, Sharyadrev and Kostroma regional administration in April 2001. The company is expected to have the capacity to produce 150,00 cubic meters of laminated particle board, 2 million cubic meters of MDF board and finishing materials. Initial investment will total around 25 million euros, with overall investment weighing in at 250 million euros.
