Mar 10, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. In 2004 Latvia increased plywood exports 11% to 163.5 thousand cub m in 2004 compared to 2003. In 2004 the costs of plywood exports reached LVL 55.6 million ($29.6 million). The main importers of Latvian plywood are Germany and the UK – 28.7 and 21.8 thousand cub m respectively; Italy imported 11 thousand cub m of plywood. In 2004 overall costs of timber exports from Latvia reached LVL 749.3 million ($398.6 million).
