Latvian Verems, an affiliate company of Latvijas Finieris, increased stock capital to $7.57 million from $6.687 million, Leta news agency reported quoting a corporate spokesperson. Latvijas Finieris spokesperson Iolanta Medne said that the enterprise was expanding its operation in Latgal on the basis of an affiliate firm Verems, expanding the output and increasing production capacities. In January-June 2005 Verems reported turnover of $13.8 million, loss - $350 thousand. In 2003 Verems reported turnover of $9.454 million, profits - $132.1 thousand. 95% of the goods produced by Verems are exported to France, Germany, Belgium and Spain. In 2005 the company intends to expand its operation on the British market.
